Ahhh, such is life. I don’t know if you are a parent, but from what I have been told by other parents, 4 months was ambitious. 6 months should bring much better luck.

I still live too… . I understand the business I was in a daze for six months or so after baby born. Lack of sleep could have been a mix in there too.

When born I did not sleep for two days then crashed hard.

good to see you still doing well, and enjoy it all you can. Just wait till you come home to “DA DA!!” being shouted at you. Its freak’n cool.

I think you should totally speak your mind to thise idiot women who think they are funny (or are just too stupid to know when they should be scared…).

At the very least, you could do what the first commenter did and ask them: “Ever have your ass kicked by a pregnant woman before?”

Pregnancy is a beautiful thing. It has it’s nasty side for sure — and I wrote about that — but it is a truly beautiful thing. I am sure you are beautiful too.

Thanks for the comment. I haven’t forgotten about the blog, and I probably should have made some post stating as much by now — but being a Dad is extremely time consuming! Who would have thought? I am so busy between baby and work and people constantly coming by and just trying to get some bloody REST that I haven’t had the time to even consider writing.

You’re crazy bro. Gonna be a tough move. Also, as you may well know her ‘nesting’ instinct is going to run rapid trying to get the new house set up and organized for the baby. Ouch. Although I must confess, my woman did the same to me, at least she was only 6.5 months pregnant when she felt the urge to move. ‘Must get bigger house for baby’ AHHhhhhhhhhh. Anway it worked out for the better. I am sure it will work out for you, but don’t plan on having the house organized anytime soon. Doh.
I also feel your pain as we are due in three weeks! She is sure feeling it now, not sleeping, getting kicked in the ribs all the time, and all kind sof other symptoms. Isn’t it a little nerve racking? Yes. And we still don’t have the car seat in, or the gifts put away, or the this and that and those… On and on.
Congrats on the new addition!
Yeah wouldn’t that suck to have to drop everything on moving day….

I will say again, what an awesome blog you have here! You are hilarious!!! and I mean it in a good way, not only is this blog super informative, it’s very real and humorous as well! I will say though, although yes it is said to be a myth- the heartburn vs hairy baby thing….I had the WORST heartburn with my first son- Seth, and I’ll tell ya, he came out absolutely COVERED in hair- this child had a full head of black hair down to his tiny eyebrows!!! hahaha, most of it did fall out BUT, the child still has LOADS of hair on his head, in fact it’s like a helmet right now. hahaha, You are going to be a great dad! It wasn.t until my fourth child did I discover that the breathing techniques
really worked in controlling the contractions. But it takes a lot of consentration on the breathing, this is where Bobby comes in to remind you to breath. Don’t worry! it will be alright.

Just wait until that first REAL contraction hits. There’s no pain quite like it. Just don’t tell Robin that.

I always loved watching the “Birth Day” shows on Discovery Health. The women would be so stoically saying, “I’ll only consider NATURAL childbirth so I can really experience it.”

The next shot was inevitably them in the delivery room yelling, “I WANT DRUGS!” The doctor would kindly and calmly tell them that it was too late and to buck up.

The day I went to confirm my pregnancy, I told the doctor that I was old fashioned (and just plain old!) and wanted drugs, no ifs, ands or buts.

One word of advice: Wear steel toed boots and gauntlets to protect your extremities from the clutching of labor “pain” (i.e. AGONY) clutching.

Ah…the joys of childbirth!

…but I’d do it again if I wasn’t 112.

Only ones not sick at home are the damn dogs. Atleast its not like the other time were even the baby was tossing cookies.

I hope it works out my boy is almost 1 (less then a week) and I almost have all the medical bills paid.

Keep in mind they might want arm leg kidney and spleen (what ever that is). But usually will take payments verses sending you to collections. Its the whole bette to get little by little then pay lawyers and get a small chunk.

I think you in canadia so not sure how all the medical crap works up there. I got lucky with a poor bastard paperwork that took off about 9k.

Diclectin was the first pill the guy tried to give her, back when she had morning sickness topped with vertigo. After researching it, she decided to go ahead without it and it turned out she didn’t need it. This one was what is commonly known as Biaxin.

I love this blog you have! That really sucks that your wife is so sick, I had bronchitis while pregnant as well and it is NOT fun, so sending good energy and positive healthy vibes her way. I think I know the name of those pills you mentioned, diclectin? I had to take them throughout both of my pregnancies, I had hyperemesis and was hospitalised a few times. They are made up of vitamin b6 and an antihistamine, I didn’t have a choice lol. Anyhow, keep up the good work with your blog, and best wishes to you, Robin and baby.

Robin, you look gorgeous! Don’t let those people get to you, screw them. My new favorite response to people who annoy me is, “Ever have your ass kicked by a pregnant woman before?” Usually shuts ‘em up.

Love the t-shirt. You should consider doing some sort of cafe press thing, I bet they would sell like hotcakes. (What an odd expression… are hotcakes really that popular?) There needs to be more snarky maternity tees out there. Everything I see are these cutesie pastel-colored things that encourage strangers to think they can touch me without asking. Ew. Don’t get me wrong, cutesie is fun sometimes, but sometimes I’m just in more of a “f*** off” kind of mood. =)
